mrg-iot exp create

Create an experiment and its network model from a device list. Nothing is allocated yet.

Usage

mrg-iot exp create [NAME] --devices DEVICE [DEVICE ...] [--project P] [--description D] [--network N]

Arguments

ArgumentDescription
NAMEExperiment name, positional. Default: your username.
--name, -nExperiment name, as a flag instead of NAME.
--project, -pProject name. Default: your only project; required when you belong to several.
--devices, -dRequired. Device names, space- or comma-separated (-d d1 d2 or -d d1,d2). Duplicates are dropped.
--description, -descExperiment description. Default: Experiment created with mrg-iot by <username>.
--network, -netModel network name. Default: mrg-iot-net.

Details

Creates the experiment record and pushes a network model built from --devices. No hardware is held until you run exp deploy.

Splitting create from deploy is useful when the experiment should outlive your terminal, or when several people share one enclave.

Give NAME before --devices, since --devices takes every word after it.

mrg-iot exp create myexp --devices s-echodot-1 reporting the project, experiment, description, and devices it created

Examples

mrg-iot exp create myexp --devices s-echodot-1 s-googlenest-1
