Details
How downloads are named
A download is named <experiment>.<remote path>, with every / turned into .. So output/capture.pcap from myexp becomes myexp.output.capture.pcap, and files with the same name in different directories don't overwrite each other.
--output
Pass -o for a name of your own. If the path doesn't exist yet and has no extension, it is created as a directory (-o myarchive → myarchive/<download>). Anything after a dot counts as an extension, so -o exp.2026-09-25 is written as a file.

Examples
mrg-iot file download -e myexp # → ~/Downloads/myexp.output.zip
mrg-iot file download output/capture.pcap -e myexp # → ~/Downloads/myexp.output.capture.pcap
mrg-iot file download output/capture.pcap -o /tmp/run.pcap -e myexp
